Hi,
I'm using firewall in my LAN, i blocked all ports except some ports that my applications use.
I want to run stunt programs within my NAT and a common Rendezvous server located outside the NAT. Since stunts uses UDP connections to communicate with Rendezvous server , can you please tel me what are all the ports i need to open in my NAT.
Thanks,
Riyaz |

Sorry for the extremely delayed response (over a month! ) ... my forum account somehow got disabled here and it took a while before I could get access again.
To answer your questions, as long as the rendezvous channel can be established, no additional ports need to be opened at the NAT/firewall. If outgoing UDP packets are allowed (and incoming response packets on the same addresses) then no additional changes need to be made.
If outgoing UDP packets are filtered by default, then some ports need to be opened. I do not recall what port the rendezvous server listens on by default -- take a look at the code for that.
That said, we are working on a production quality version in C (with bindings in JAVA, Delphi, etc.), which we hope to announce in a month or two. The JAVA version was really meant as a proof of concept prototype, and is not maintained any longer. _________________ --
